So tonight's feature is a very special one to me! I have known the gorgeous and very clever founder of The Meet Up Collective, Isabella Mitchell, literally all her life. We lived next door to each other growing up and my sister & I used to babysit Isabella and her younger sister - they are definitely family to us! Watching Isabella blossom into such a dynamic, confident and talented young woman has been (and continues to be!) an absolute pleasure, and I couldn't have been happier to help Isabella with the launch of her business. The Meet Up Collective is a collective with a conscience, and is going to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people all over Perth. As a mother of two it makes me so happy to see that there are young people like Isabella in the world - and I will be sending my kids her way when the time comes! Obviously I know all about you and your awesome business - but please tell the readers a little more about your business and what makes you unique?
The Meet Up Collective is an academic and pastoral wellbeing program that combines individualised tutoring sessions with group meet ups. The program is designed to provide students with a sense of support, guidance and belonging as we work together to improve their grades as well as confidence levels and coping skills.
Our sessions are themed and tailored to students specific needs, which amongst other factors is what sets TMC apart.
What’s been going on since we caught up?
So much! So I have met with teachers and principals, i have formed a team of 6 mentors, started training, launched the online forum, and am finalising our location at the moment.
What was your favourite part about our coaching sessions?
The clarity and direction you provided as well as your unequivocal belief and reassurance that my idea can work! You are extremely easy to talk to and are very understanding and supportive.
What are you focusing on for the rest of the year?
Getting TMC off the ground!
Any other news, events or offers you’d like to share?
We are launching at the start of term three! And our first workshop will be in September- details will be announced soon!
